The vineyard
Tel Shifon vineyard was planted at an altitude of 915 meters above sea level, hidden in a wild landscape between five extinct volcanoes - part of the line of volcanic hills in the northern Golan Heights. The basalt soil is rich in iron and minerals.
The Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc blocs were planted in a north-south direction and enjoy cooler temperatures in the summer thanks to the high altitude that allows moderate and continuous ripening.
In the winter, we get extremely cold weather that is accompanied by several, at times quite significant, snow events. This provides the neccessary cold during dormancy to allow for a uniform awakening in the spring.
We believe that the vineyard is part of the environment in which it grows. Therefore, we implement sustainable, responsible and considerate agriculture with minimal intervention and with utmost respect for our environment.
